Preface The scales are about to tip. Many of us will continue our formal education, others of us will begin a career. All have benefited from the well balanced programs of- fered to us by our school. In our academic pursuits we have been aided by well equipped scientific, language, and social studies laboratories. Vocational training was offered to prepare students for future occupations. Music, art, and homemaking students all worked with special facilities designed to provide practical training. To aid not only in enriching our lives, but also assisting with our studies, a well trained librarian and well stocked library were at our disposal. Combined with these ex- cellent conditions, we have been served by truly dedicated teachers. In the field of athletics, mental alertness was coupled with physical fitness. There were eight varsity interscholas- tic sports, most of which had junior varsity teams from which to draw players. All of us aren’t athletes, but our varied physical education program helps us all to keep in good physical condition. Our social activities have added to our well-rounded program. Organizations such as Future Teachers of Amer- ica and Future Nurses Club have been established to acquaint us with possible future occupations. Clubs have been formed to develop skills and talents, such as the Dramatics Club, Model Congress, or Echoes. Others, like the popular Ski Club are for recreation and fun. In all of these we have sought to obtain the needed balance. LINDA GADEMAN Editor-in-Chief )■ i I I 3
