Preface In I960 the stream of grammar school and junior high school merged to form a small river, which, as the class of ’64, flowed slowly at first, trying to find the right course. Around every bend awaited some new tributary, which added a quality to its character. Among these were classes attended, extra-curricular activities, and the many personal experiences. Each tributary fed the river, enriching it in strength and knowledge. At times the river churned with unexpected whirlpools and rapids. On other occasions it encountered snags and was slowed almost to a standstill. With increased effort the obstacles were overcome, the river surged forward and once again flowed smoothly, acquiring depths of interest. If a river is to run true to course, it must have banks to contain and guide it; so too, did this river have banks. The faculty and administration guided, showed the direction, and kept the river flowing toward its goal. During the entire trip, the course had been plotted for the successful arrival at its destination, where the river enters the sea. That destination has been reached; now the ocean looms, vast and unknown.
