Sperrazza EDITOR’S MESSAGE The Echo Staff has chosen for the '55 annual an appropriate theme, The Magic Carpet.” Our theme is used to represent the magic and wonder of our years in Enfield High. The world we have lived in for the past four years was indeed a world of learning, growing up, and enjoyment. As you scan these pages the achievements of the Class of 55” as a whole and as individuals will be unfolded. It is difficult to point at any one goal and say, We have aimed for this and have reached it.” The variety of activities and the wonderful and varied stages of learning prevents this. But, with our theme we shall try to weave together the binding thread of the quest for knowledge, the bright patterns of our extra-cur- ricular activities and the threads of sportsmanship, understanding and joy that blend all together to weave The Magic Carpet” of a successful voyage through the loom of education, our Enfield High School. This book is, for us, a record of achievements and a means of expressing our sincere appreciation to those who have made those achievements possible. We ap- preciate to the fullest extent the knowledge gained and the awakening to the life we go forth to face. 5
