seniors conquer jitters, complete tests, applications “Into each life a little rain must fall.” After five long, long hours of lowa tests three hundred seventy-five Seniors were firmly convinced that they had had more than their share of ‘‘rain’. The tests to determine scholastic progress were administered in the gym on folding chairs with lapboards as desks. After that torture the upperclassmen left looking tired and feeling certain that they had made absolutely no progress in their four years of high school. Within ten days many of these same Seniors found themselves in another marathon entitled the “Scholastic Aptitude Test’. The ordeal was designed to determine a student's suitability for college. College application deadlines rolled over hapless Seniors like a tidal wave. To some Seniors it was not “a little rain” that fell, but enough to justify ordering a second Ark.
