Bogs and Girlis Under the leadership of Encinal’s fine coaches, the students participate in varied physical activities. The boys play basketball, baseball and football among other active sports. Seventh period boys’ physical education is reserved for the competing athletic teams. Girls’ physical education also offers a variety of sports such as tumbling, badminton and softball. A program of be- ginning and advanced modern dance is enjoyed by many Encinal girls. The dance classes perform for various school ac- tivities.

These are foods and nutrition, housing and home furnishings, health and safety, management, child t development, clothing and textiles and family relationships. ; B.e Te The boys’ shop classes provide practical knowledge as well Mrs. Dorothy Fellinger as enjoyment. In craft shop, which girls also take, the student San Francisco State makes such articles as copper etchings, ceramics and pottery. Homemaking, Typing Wood shop enables boys to make many usefulpiecesof furniture. In metal shop the boys learn techniques of metal work. In auto shop the boys work and learn about their dream-cars.
