1890 Things went well for the Normal, with a few exceptions, to the end ofthe century. The enrollment at the close of the 1889-90 year was 1120, compared to K U's 508 and Manhattan's 514. KSN had the largest enrollment of any normal school in the United States! 1893 On December 21, 1893, the Board of Regents ofthe Normal issued an order forever prohibiting the students from playing football.
