The role of administrative bodies is always great. Faced with mushroom- ing enrollment in all the state educational institutions, the l960 Board of Reg- ents' responsibility is ever-growing. Few boards of directors are responsible for such a variety of decisions wnich involve a wide range of activities, interests, and investments. Appointed by the Governor, each board member, taking time away from his own profession, acts as budget-maker, personnel-selector, and policy- formulator.
