Coming Home to a host of well-planned activities, alums were treated to a parade, variety show, football game, and dance, as well as numerous festivities sponsored by social organizations. The Hornet Homecomers saw Corky capture control of the Central Conference by whipping a weaker Ft. Hays State team 27 to 0.

Pages 205-208 It is indeed inspiring to watch progress evolve sticks and stones into structures or learning, and it is a pleasure to know that the reputation of the college as an educational institution will he enhanced by this con- struction. But perhaps the greatest pleasure or all is the greeting of alumni as they return to their home away from home. We take great care in planning Homecoming, tor it is the largest single event of the year. Homecoming represents a bond of fellowship between alumni and stu- dents, a kind of friendship that marks an appreciation for the social side of education.
