Her sane judgment and patience has won a place for her in the hearts of many students. DAVID L. MACFARLANE Demi of Men Many problems have been aired and solved by Dr. David I.. MacFarlane in his capacity as Dean of Men. His genial personality enables him to contact the men of the campus more closely. The offices of the Deans are of such a nature that they require much tact and sympathetic understanding on the part of the persons who fill the chairs. An integral part of the liberal education is centered around these offices. Many important conferences of which the stu- dents are the sole benefactors take place behind closed doors in these offices. l 19 l
