HARRIET BARBER Miss Barber came to the Kansas State Normal School as Dean of Women in September, 1911. She took her master's degree at Columbia University and before coming here was instructor in English in the South Dakota State Normal School. A In the short time she has been here We have found Dean Bar- ber to be an enthusiastic, cultured, broad-minded, Christian Woman. She has already shown her interest in every phase of school life, especially has she been active in the social develop- ment of the school. As chairman of the social committee and supervisor of social functions, Dean Barber has shown efficiency. Besides her Work in the social life of the school she serves as ad- visor to the girls. 11
