The organization got under the most outstanding in the history of the Junior e ld N vember 12 to 15 at which time most of the way with the membership drive he 0 students were enrolled in the Junior Red Cross. Long range projects included a school chest, promotion of the International School Art Program. All three of these activities were designed to promote friendly relations with the young people of other countries. A drive was held to collect pocket reading ' t Winter General Hospital along with tray b ks and playing cards which were sent o oo covers made by Junior Red Cross members. The students assisted the County Chapter twice by serving in the canteen when the Blood Bank came to Emporia. Other local activities included providing a needy family with Thanksgiving dinner, assisting as the Heritage at Christmas, and working on small projects for the children's ward at the Newman Memorial Hospital. Officers of this organization are student director, .Tune Hereford, president, Sharon D elle, secretary,Marjorie Hubbardg treasurer, Huenergardtg vice-president, Martha w Bill Robinson, and sponso ' r, Miss Shirley Thompson.
