With the new amps installed in the station, located i the basement of Wiley Hall, the broadcasts can be picked up almos all over the campus. The station has also moved up to ten hou broadcasting day, seven days a week. Special programs provided b the station are devoted to jazz, and blues, progressive rock, Christia rock, and the American College Radio Network. Another new servic provided by WLRC is Zodiac News, which is geared to the colleg audience. 158

The student housing associations arc the largest organizations on cam- pus, since every student on campus is a member. The Women’s Student Association provides a representative government for all women and helps them benefit more fully from college life. Representatives arc elected to the Coordinating Committee from each house. The Men’s Residence Hall Associ- ation is composed of executive, legis- lative, and judicial bodies elected by the students. Emphasis The Emphasis committee is made up of interested students and faculty who have come together to coordinate and direct activities relating to Emphasis ’74. Ever)1 two years the committee chooses a topic of general social concern, and attempts to explore this area. This year’s Emphasis is on Pcrsonhood and Sexism.
