W.S.A. All women students, upon entrance into the college, au- tomatically become members of this association, which was organized in 1943 to serve the needs of the women stu- dents. The council, elected by the entire organization con- sists of the officers, two representatives of each class, and a day student representative. STUDENT JUDICIARY The Student Judiciary is the newest branch of student government at Emory. Members arc elected from the men’s dormitories and the day students; with the execu- tive officers of the VV.S.A. completing the body. The president of the student body appoints the Chief Justice and the Prosecuting Attorney. The purpose of the Student Judiciary is to co-operate with the faculty and administration in handling the dis- cipline problems that arise. STUDENT JUDICIARY SEATED: John Seymour, chief justice. STUDENT LEGISLATURE The student legislature is composed of four members of each class, plus the presidents of the freshman, sopho- more, and junior classes, and the vice-president of the senior class. They arc elected each spring from slates nom- inated by the Gaylord Party and the Independent Party at the same time of the election of the student body offi- cers.
