The Dom-I-Ncchcr fraternity, organized in 1920, is the oldest fraternity on campus. Our objectives arc aimed at promoting good brotherhood and student activities. We take an active part in intramural sports and plan rush parties enjoyable to all. We also plan a most rewarding Spring func- tion which takes place at the Virginia House in Marion, Va. As our Sweetheart and candidate for Homecoming Queen, we presented Miss Judic Harry of Tazewell, Va. After 31 years, Beta Lambda Zeta is still one of the top social organizations on the Emory and Henry campus. Dur- ing the ’58—’59 year, the brothers have been working to- gether in the many fraternity activities. The Beta Lambs staged a surprise parade complete with float and police escort which climaxed their Homecoming campaign. Miss Sara Saylor of Pincy Flats, Tennessee, the fraternity’s Sweetheart, was crowned Queen to make it two in a row for the Beta Lambs. The fall Rush Party was held at the Moonlitc Restaurant climaxed with the fall function at the Virginia House. The Rush Party, Goat week, and the spring dinner-dance were the high points of the spring semester. Beta Lambda Zeta 58

The Phi Gamma Phi fraternity, founded in 1928, still remains one of Emory’s leading social fraternities. The pur- pose of our fraternity is to promote brotherhood, high ideals, and social activities by encouraging men of sound moral character and recognized ability to engage in its principles. The leadership of members of the Phi Gamma Phi has been recognized in all fields of endeavor on the Emory campus. This year for the first time the Phi Gams sponsored two social functions, a formal dinner and dance in the fall, and an outing in the spring. We were proud and honored to have Miss Judy Dawson of Bybcc, Tennessee, as our Homecom- ing candidate and Sweetheart. Phi Gamma Phi 62
