Histor On September 6, 1951 a group of six girls and two boys entered Emmett Rural High School. They were Mary Eileen Moylan, Mary Jean- ette McNeive, Joanne Morford,Eileen Stueve,Mary Ann Stueve,Mary Kay DeVader, Joan McGranahan, Bill Ward, and Roy Wilson. Mr. Cameron was our class sponsor. The day of ini- :i:?:if5-ffgiig tiation the girls came to school wearing their Dad's overalls and shirts on backwards and one high heeled shoe and one house slipper. The boys wore skirts and blouses and were barefoot. That evening the Seniors gave a party for us where we had to per- form several stunts. We welcomed Marlene Marney into our class in the latter part of the second semester. When we returned for our Sophomore year we found there were only Six. They were Mary Eileen Moylan,Mary Jeanette McNeivq Mary f? fl Ann Stueve, Joanne Morford, Eileen Stueve, Bill Ward E': ' Miss Levings was our sponsor. During the Sophomore year we presented a one act play Wlt Pays to be Bashful.W In our Junior year the same six were back. Miss Levings was our class sponsor again this year. We gave a three act play WWhen a Wo- man Decides.' When we returned from the Thanksgiving gg' XC vacation we received our class rings. On May 9 we T ' 'xxx entertained the Seniors, Faculty and School Board Mem- Q51 bers and their wives with a banquet at the Holy Cross QQ? T 9 Hall. We gave a banquet for the alumni May 23 at Holy 'DL 5 , 1 Cross Hall. In our Senior year the class and sponsor remained the same. We initiated the Freshmen the second week in September. On September 29 we spent the day in Topeka with our sponsor getting our pictures taken.
