mmcrc Enthusiasm and loyalty blend whenever Manualites get together for activities. Whether the group meeting is a service organization, a class-oriented club, a musical rehearsal, a publications staff work-session, a party, an after-game hop, a semi-formal dance, or a Prom, we find gay companionship, broadening of interests, and use for our talents. Activities add much to our education and to the enjoyment of school, and they fill the needs of our varied moods. 25

Make School Pteasanter for Fellow Redskins With Mr. Richard Blough resuming sponsorship, Roines began the year by sponsoring the annual Roines ROMP. Their 50 th Anniversary was marked by a semi-formal, the first dress-up dance of the year, for the entire school in November. Annual Christmas project of Roines was placing the large, traditional wreath above the main en- trance of the school. This is put together by the members who weave pine boughs into a wire-covered frame, fifteen feet in diameter. The frame, which comes apart in segments, was made by members. The Roines added another duty to their list by accepting the responsibility for the outside bulletin board which faces Madison Avenue and advertises Manual activities to passersby. They check the board each Monday morning to keep it up to date. Roines boys manned the checkroom on Alumni night for the convenience of the Quests. April 1 brought fun for all as the annual Roines- Faculty basketball game brought students and teach- ers alike to the gymnasium to root for their cohorts. Masomas were cheerleaders fo r Roines. iMfflCH W I MILITARY BALL MARCH .. -=, mar- ; - • I! 26 x $?jsm Bruce Arnold and Steve Susemichel arrange announcements.
