Honoraries Use Talent, Time for Service Roines members carried Manual ' s Christmas spirit outside with the traditional wreath over the Madison Avenue entrance. Although telling fortunes is usually the job of gypsies, Manual ' s Masomas tried their luck with the mystic sciences at the April Pow Wow. With the Roines, senior boys ' honorary, the club sponsored the November Pigskin Prom, and helped at athletic banquets and the Alumni Night dinner. At a ban- quet in May, the girls heard a panel of faculty and staff members, Masoma alumnae. Sponsored by Miss Elizabeth Goett and Mrs. Judy Blough, the club was led by President Carol Stevenson, Vice-president Carol Davis, Secretaries Terri Stoneburner and Karen Smith, and Treasurer Judy McBride. ROMP was the secret word for the Roines in Oct- ober. Puzzled Manualites finally learned that the word seen on signs meant an informal hop coming up. A second ROMP was scheduled in the spring. Roines was in charge of keeping the community posted on coming events by taking care of the out- side bulletin board. For their annual Christmas wreath, the boys felled a 30-foot tree, used the lower boughs, and gave the top to the Junior Class for their traditional Christmas tree. Officers of the club, sponsored by Mr. Richard Blough, were President Jerry Steadham, Vice-president Bill Styring, Secre- tary Bob Surber, and Treasurer Dave Morris. Anita Daugherty was prepared to mix at the Masoma-Freshman Mixer with her best nametag. Cindy Eaton presents the award. For the same occasion, Masoma Carol Davis awards Sharon Dain a plant for her Home Room 1 19B, which had the best turn-out. 28

t ?Kcutual ? n ecU6i«te Our Manual for Redskins offers opportunities for us to see what we learn in the class room for fun and service. As teen-agers in a busy world, we realize the need for extracurricular activities which give us a chance to work with others as group members and leaders. Honoraries, service clubs, and class-related organizations— they all make up our Manual of Activities 27 .
