FACES REFLECT THE HAPPY YEAR Reflecting on ' 61 brings varied images to mind as our Ivian creates for each of us a mental montage of interesting classes, favorite teachers, fun-filled lunch periods, eventful club meetings, wonderful dances, and lasting friendships. We can relive this school year through these pages both now and in the years to come. Year ' Round, Each. Day Crowds with Studies, Fun Arriving at school, Dorothv backs into a space on the parking lot where some 450 cars are parked daily. Like all of us. Dorothy ' s school day begins and ends at her locker where she keeps wraps, books, and stuff. High school days are busy days for students who enjoy studies and like being with people. Most of us carry a minimum of four solids and one or two half-credit subjects, so we spend much of each day in classrooms. After school, though, many find time to take part in extra-curricular activities. Every afternoon the building hums with club meetings and rehearsals, and the field or gym (depending on the season) overflows with athletes. The Publications Office, headquarters for The Booster and Ivian staffs, is where active Dorothy Porter spends her free periods and after-school hours. As editor-in-chief, she may be found consulting with page editors, writing editorials, or working on page make-up. Pam Haug. student library assistant, checks out a book for Dorothy who is working on a research paper. Lunch time is a pleasant break in the day. Dorothy eats and chats with Sharon Smith and Carolyn Cobble.
