Booster Office Hums With Activity All Day Manual ' s weekly newspaper, The Booster, consist- ently wins All-American honor rating from the National Scholastic Press Association and Medal- ists from the Columbia Scholastic Press Associa- tion. The publications office is always ahum with the clatter of typewriters to keep our newspaper one of the tops in the nation. Included in special coverage of the year was the Safety Campaign, which The Booster sponsored for the second time. After taking sixth place in a national contest with last year ' s efforts, journalists this year had to come up with some really original ideas. A bumper strip in a red-printed Booster, a police car-safety check, and free brake adjustments by the auto shop were all a part of the campaign. Covering sports was especially exciting this year with our championship football team, our superb basketball season, and other sports highlights. Seniors with scholarships in mind found The Booster full of information about colleges, universities, and organizations of- fering grants.
