Mr. Becker Miss Strouse Mr. Warden Clam History The fall of 1942 was a lucky season for Emmaus High School because it was then that the Class of '46 began its high school career. We were a bit green as freshmen but now as seniors, we are ready to go out into the World with confidence. Being an intelligent group, it didn,t take us very long to get into the stride of work and play in high school. In our freshman year, We chose Robert Kahle as our President, Marie Brown, Vice-President, and Charles Hersh as our Secretary. They were very competent and the term Went smoothly. Our only activity for the year was the 'AVictory Minstrel , which was a success both in entertainment and Financially. Providing the comedy were Velda Mae Haas, Priscilla Brahler, Lois Hamscher, Bruce Knauss, Russell Ganey, and Robert Kahle. As sophomores, We were less self-conscious and secretly laughed at the poor misguided freshmen. Richard Wieand was our President for the term, with Velma Gould as Vice-President, and Barbara Schreiber as Secretary. Our activity for this year was the Sophomore Cottilionu--dance to most of us-which did considerable good for our treasury. We had several boys in our class who played varsity football and basketball, making us proud of our class. The term as a Whole, however, passed without very much excitement. Second only to the seniors! Finally our junior year had arrived. How superior we felt to the mere freshmen! Richard Wieand and Barbara Schreiber held the same offices as in the previous year, with Bruce Knauss moving up to the rank of Vice-President.
