A Metszzge ik T0 The Swim ln these days We hear a great deal about friendship and cooperation. If the nations of the world wish to prevent future wars they must cooperate and work in harmony for the welfare of everybody. This cooperation must begin with the individuals at home, in school, and at work. You, the graduates of the class of 1946, must learn to keep in step and must be able to get along with people. You must be able to work with others without offending or irritating them. Marching along mentally as well as phys- ically. Cooperation is not only a symbol of friendship, but a very practical means of promoting it. Everybody must practice the Golden Rule. One who constantly takes and never gives, one who asks, begs, or demands instead of offers, can hardly hope to have real friends. Friendship cannot endure if one party to it is Wholly self-centered. Please accept my best Wishes and may your hopes and dreams be realized to the fullest degree. HOWARD I. YEAGER Superintendent Commencement time has come, ties are to be broken, fare- wells to be said, yet, after four years of close association, one Hnds it difficult to express what is in one's heart. During these years some have labored faithfully to prepare for the future while others have thought of school as a con- centration camp. Whether you have considered school a laboratory in which lives are molded or merely a place in which to spend time, your principal still wishes for you all the success it is possible for one to achieve. Atomic energy is a great achievement but the World is in greater need of brotherhood, tolerance, unselfishness, and men of personal integrity. This energy, controlled by the head only, may destroy usg controlled by head and heart it may become our servant, lift us to a higher plane of life, and become a great benefit to mankind. Now, may each one of you find happiness and peace in life as you do your daily tasks. ALLEN F. HELLER Principal
