Emery Citizens Served SEATED: john Pudwill, Norbert Jung, Michael Thomas, Lawrence Browen, Glen Lubbers. STANDING: Carl Harberts, Erwin Huber. President Erwin Huber conducted the meetings of the Board of Education. He was assisted by Vice-president, Norbert Jung. The minutes of the meeting were recorded by the business man- ager, john Pudwill. The Board met on the second Monday of every month. Their job was to supervise the work of 5 I l 6 1 5 each teacher and student. The weight of many decisions fell upon the shoulders of these civic- minded citizens. Their great interest, dedi- cation to duty, and hard work was greatly ap- preciated by the student body and citizens of Emery. Student Council Enacted First Constitution The student council of Emery High School was composed of seven members of the student body. A representative from each class was elected in the fall. The officers, who must be juniors and seniors, were elected by the student body. This organization under the super- vision of Superintendent Thomas, met every month to plan the various school functions such as homecoming, the Christmas party, and the school picnic.

DEDICA TION We, the class of 1968, dedicate this yearbook to Superintendent Michael I. Thomas. Superintendent Thomas has served as the head of the Emery School System for the last two years with great devotion. Prior to being Superintendent he was our Principal for five years. We all heartily agree that Mr. Thomas has fulfilled his years at Emery with tact and ability.
