iam ,,,. f john Ians sen Kathy Krier Harvey Dannenbring Carol Mayer Darwin Hanssen JoAnn Geppert 10 Eldon Fauth Agnes Leitheiser Seniors Added Four Yea Thirty-five green freshmen entered Emery High School in August of 1964. The most mem orable event of the year was their first float with the theme Deflate Carthage. As they started their year as sophisticated sophomores, they gained a new member to their class, Dale Grtmewaldt, thus making a total of thirty-six members. They acquired their first honor as a class by winning first in the beauty division on their float, Dial V for Victory. Among the many other activities that the sophomores participated in and ones they will long remember are the long enjoyable hours spent in the Driver's Education car. Many exciting events filled their jtmior year They again captured first place honors in beauty for their float, At the End of the Rainbow. On March 21 the juniors received their long awaited rings. fiiwfs

Royce Huber MarJean Schamber Jerry Roskens M9-YY 51301152 Knowledge to Their Treasur Several long tedious hours were spent in prepar- i.ng their first class play, Grandad Steps Out. The Junior-Senior Banquet was the most mem- orable of all. They decorated Chef Louis's Steakhouse in Mitchell to the theme Paris by Night. Eileen Schulte and Jolm Janssen were chosen Girls' and Boys' State. In August of 1967 thirty-six seniors entered the halls of Emery High School for their last year. Joyce Hanssen and John Janssen reigned over Homecoming activities. Senior pictures were taken at the end of the first semester. On February 2, the seniors traveled to Pierre to visit the capitol. The senior play, Second Childhood, was presented on April 5 and 6. The seniors remember the State B tournament, not only as players, but as dedicated fans. The Ban- quet and the skip day trip to Lake Okoboji were an exciting climax to their last year. Wayne Werning and Agnes Leitheiser were Valedictorian and Salutatorian.
