SENIOR CLASS HISTORY On September 4 1901 twenty two freshmen entered EmerK Hlgh School An 1n1t1at1on party was held on September 19 glven by the senlors All of the freshmen came to school 1n costumes After three weeks Herman Krumm started school Thls brought the freshmen number up to twentv three Class offlcers were elected as follows Myron Weber president Don Wlblemo vlce presldent Jlm Johnson secretarv and Donna lxayser student counc1l representatlve Don Wlblemo Gordon Osterloo and Herman Krumm made the flrst ten 1n basketball Four from the class played 1n the band and four took part 1n Declam All the glrls took part 1n the Glrls Glee Club and M1XEd Chorus A freshman octet was also organlzed Donna Kayser Mona Krler and L1la Hlllard were chosen as cheer leaders Vera Helman and Herman Krumm dropped out of school later 1n the year On September 1 1952 twenty freshmen entered Emery Hlgh School and enrolled as sophomores Travls Letsche d1d not return for h1s sophomore year ln Emery The Class offlcers were as fol lows Gordon Osterloo pres1dent L1la Jane Hlllard VICE presxdent .nm Johnson secretary treasurer and Dorothy Buehler student counc1l representatlve Don Wlblemo Gordon Osterloo and Jlm Johnson made the f1rst ten 1n basketball for thls year L1la Hlllard loan Heltzman and Mona Krler were chosen cheerleaders The glrls all took part 1n G1rls Glee Club and all of the boys took part 1n Boys Glee Club All boys and glrls were 1n Mlxed Chorus Demece McManus dropped out at the end of the f1rst semester and enrolled 1n Alexandrla At the end of the term elghteen f1n1shed the school 5 ear On August 31 1953 all the students came back to f1n1sh the1r Junlor year After about two weeks of school Ruth Letcher enrolled brlnglng the total up to mneteen The class offlcers were Llla Jane Hlllard presldent John Berg v1ce presldent Marllyn Kays I secretary Edward Krumm treasurer and Myron Weber student counc1l representatlve Most of the boys went out for basketball Gordon and Don made the flrst f1V6 and Myron Jlm and Warren made the second f1ve Joan LouEtta and Llla were chosen cheer leaders Don and Tom part1c1pated 1n track All the g1rls sang m the Glee Club and Joan Heltzman Dorothy Buehler and V1rg1n1a Schulte took part 1n the sextet Joan HG1tZm3H Dorothy Buehler Mvron Weber and Douglas Weeldreyer sang IH the Mlxed Ensemble Vocal sololsts were Joan Dorothy V1rg1n1a Llla Myron and Douglas All the Junlors had part ln the Junlor play Boardlng - - 1 1 1 .1 1 1 V . .
