Peterson Spartans: The generations of men and women pass years after we, parents and teachers, have disappeared from the earth. You students will, in your maturity, enter into the fulness of life and carry on our civilization. We hope that we as adults have passed on to you the best and noblest in our heritage, surely never the worst and meanest. We know that you will have to face new problems in life, new ways of living, working and governing yourself and I hope we have developed in each of you those qualities which constitute strength for life - thoughtfulness, application, consideration for others, and willingness to face new and strange situations squarely. If, fifty years from now, when I survey the scanty role of things that I have done, And find a score of visions unfulfilled, and victories I've dreamed of still unwon; I'll doubtless see mistakes that I have made, and places where I lost because I picked the losing side. But not a failure shall I find in the trail I've left behind, Where I might have won and didn't Just because I never tried. TAYLOR PUBLISHING COMPANY The World's Best Yearbooks Are Taylor-made
