LEADERS OF THE ARTISTS OF 1954 A green pigment was used as the foundation color of the Freshman Class. Greenies” was the title given its members....and, in many cases, green, the color of envy, was shown on the Freshmen’s faces as they looked to their upper classmen. Before the year was over the Class of ’54 had lived up to the Emerson spirit....there were the G. A. A. initiations....Class basketball....and the various dances which all contributed to make their Frosh year a success.
