As we mounted the stairs we faced a challenge: four years to use or to waste. We entered the door . . . breathless, excited, nervous, and curious. This was a time of new friendships, independence, and intellectual awakening. Rest was mfrequent and some could not finish the climb. But in oxir years of clumge zee fozind both ozirselves and security. We learned that Emerson is more than buildings; it is experience. We approached and listened, asked and, anszeered. We found that in order to grozv zee looked beyond ourselves. Four years made us azeare. Noze zee luwe climbed the stairs and zee must leave . . . happy because we have begun to master ozir talents; sad because we are leaving our friends; thankful for this experience called Emerson. No matter how many stairzeays lie before us, this one zee shall never forget. 2
