At one moment she may be enthralled by Browning and at another talking ex- citedly about some new experience. A bundle of nerves, she dashes about as though charged with electricity. There is a blue vase in a toy shop which doesn ' t know that it ' s blue and very lovely, but only that it is in a toy shop. We do remember, however, those Forum Speaking classes and Annette ' s ready responses. She ' s sharp and cynical on the surface, but there is a genuine spirit beneath.
