Assemblies Add Interest to Everyday Routine ADW At the Lorain Football Assembly we were shown a lively game of football as it was in the Stone Age. After this assembly the Pioneers tromped Lorain. Which direction are you going? asked Reverend Richard Linde, the speaker at this year's Honor Society Assembly. l At one of the upperclass assemblies the Flattefing Word was per- formed, a humorous play which was enjoyed by all. 21

tudents, As Ideas, Are Exchanged Across Seas. d Robi lives in Lucerne, Switzerland, in this quaint apartment overlooking the beautiful world renown Lake Lucerne. Es Isch de Hammer! says Robi Enggist, this year's exchange student. It's great! And we all envy him for his extremely fortunate opportunity to spend a year abroad. Robi came to the States through the International Christian Youth Exchange program, from Lucerne, Switzerland. He came to Elyria last August and will be here until july. He has already had many new experiences since he's been here, ranging from hunting rats with a bow and arrow to dancing the hitch-hiker. Soccer is to the Europeans as basketball is to us. Robi's favorite sports are tennis, soccer, and skiing. Robi's adopted family while he is in the States is with the J. L. Dalls. Robi has, of course Fund many things new and different. He says that the ,cial life here is two or three years ahead of that in Switzerland. One reason could be that boys can't drive there until they are eighteen. Also, as one would expect, that flat topography of Ohio is quite a change from the beautiful Alps of Switzerland. So far, Robi loves the States, and we at E.H.S. hope to make this year one of his most memorable. Here, Robi is shown how to carve a Thanksgiving turkey by his dad, Mr. Dall, while his sister, Carol, watches. 5, K 20

She takes a breather sometimes from her tasks by chatting with some friends. Lunch period is not only a time for munching on friend's food, but also a time for gossip with her friends and a rest from her busy schedule.
