Destinction Day Distinction Day holds its place in the hearts of the graduating seniors as one of their fondest days at Elyria High School. Each year a skit or play fwhich brings back many cherished mem- ories of high school daysb is presented by the Junior Class in honor of the seniors. lt is only one of the numerous activities the seniors have at this time, but to the juniors it is their Way of showing the friendship and respect they have for the seniors. Distinction Day will surely be, for many years to come, one of the most thrilling events of the year at E.H.S. and Sun at the Beach. Swimming swimming in the ole swimmin' hole. When days are hot, when days are cold, we're in the swimmin' hole. Through intense concentration and de- termination these girls have mastered the game of bridge, or is it fish? With crumbs from their lunch, Joyce Filczer and Alice Ott feed the ducks, regular visitors to the quarry. A ,ff gs, at 1 4 A Mfr ago it .. . sp: 1.4 Minh 3 ,,,.f, -3'2 Wm. Another typical, hot july day has begun, and seven girls are preparing to enjoy it to the fullest. They are headed for Koinoinia Lake, better known as the quarry It is a beautiful lake for rowing and swimming and, an added attraction is, all those cute lifeguards. These girls spent a good part of the summer at the quarry They all became good swimmers and divers, and not one of them was lucky enough to need rescuing. Good times occurred at every lake and pool this summer. Old friendships were rekindled and new ones made. The summer ended with beautiful tans and promises to see you next summer. 13
