Student Exchange ls Another First at E.H.S. Marty Braun and Elsie ten Hoff relax in the warm atsmosphere of the Brauns' home after a hard day at school. Elsie ten Hoff leaves the Braun home to try out her Dutch skates on American ice. Wouldn't we all love to live in another land for a year! Jane Gottfried of Elyria and Elsie ten Hoff of Haren, Holland, have this chance. This first exchange Elyria has taken part in is sponsored by the World Council of Churches. I feel very fortunate to have been chosen an ex- change student, said Jane Gottfried in one of her letters. The ten Hoff family could not be more helpful and lov- ing. I find everything about school very interesting. My biggest class has twenty students and my smallest six. There are no sports events by schools, but by the sports clubs. Such a big school! Elsie exclaimed about E.H.S. She feels we have more homework here than they had in Holland. Elsie graduated last summer after taking an exam which covered her courses for the last five years. During the summer she traveled through Belgium and Germany, spending two days at the WorId's Fair in Brussels. ln July she will meet other students in this pro- gram in New York City and Washington, D.C. before sailing for home. Jane Gottfried hesitates at the entrance of her school in Holland before bicycling for home.

Sparkling faces full of fun dominate at the many dances. These feelings and others will be remembered long after graduation as a part of school life. Karen and Rolfe Gruen depict the varied feelings of students as they show their report cards to their parents, lt's not hard to tell who will have to work harder next term. um-.-4' School pride shows on the faces of Bob Pesti and Bill Baughman as they admire sport trophies for which E.H.S. teams fought long and --3
