ROSER GEORGE TRAICOFF MABEL VOGAN A student who has gained speed, efficiency, and accuracy from his studies of typing, short- hand, clerical procedures, business machines, and bookkeeping should have no trouble in obtaining a position in his chosen field. Once employed, o smile and a word of praise is reward enough for the hard work which is necessary to keep the office running smoothly. Friendly persuasion, one of the important traits of good scilesmcinship, is cultivated in the study of another phase of business. Merchandis- ing, store management, and distributive education are other courses offered to prepare students for the world of buying and selling.

With this as one of their thoughts, the girls enrolled in the E.H.S. cooking classes learn to make food delicious as well as nutri- tious for their future families. The skills developed in the sewing classes enable students to supplement their wardrobes with smart, new fashions. A girl who has taken home living should never have any troubles with child care. This is one of the major units, along with buying, time management, home nursing, and family relations, which are studied throughout the year, Right: Mrs. Dawson demonstrates a sewing skill while the students watch closely. SHELDON STEVE ZVOSEC without electricity, television, or motor vehicles. The great advances in modern living are proof of the vital part manufacturing plays in this ever changing world. The Industrial Arts Department of E.H.S. is charged with the responsibility of training today's youths for their important role in tomorrow's industry. These future skilled crafts- men will help to keep our country a thriving nation. Dick Stang, Joe White, Dove Disbrow, Ronald Sooy, and Jim Watt are shown working enthusiastically on on ice- boat for future winter fun. Dave Sipos, Charles Fields, and Wayne Heginbotham work diligently setting type.
