DEDICATION This Elyrian is dedicated to our Principal, Mr. Robert E. Wilson, who came to us in September, 1948, with the Senior Class anticipating the lO'lst Commencement ot the school in June 1949. Mr. Wilson's genial thoughtfulness and understanding ways have been gratefully appreciated by the students ot Elyria High School. Our heartiest wishes tor success accompany him throughout his years at E. H. S. The 100th class to graduate from Elyria High is pictured above as it appeared in june 1948. EIBLING Superintendent of the Elyria Public Sclaodlr Education is the most important means of developing good citizenship and a firm belief in our American way of life. Our schools must endeavor to provide the finest opportunities for personal development and democratic living. Curriculum, equipment and buildi ngs must be adequate to meet the needs of the youth of our community. Every effort must be d ' ' ma e to provide the best educational program that can be developed with the resources that are available. The city of Elyria is very fortunate in many ways. It has a great variety of good industries. The citizens of our city are interested in education. Elyria has the linancial ability to support a good program of education. The cooperation of pupils, parents, and teachers will help solve many of our problems and build a school system that will be in the top-flight of all schools in our country. -H. H. E. 5
