Fowwawl Realizing that the work and pleasures of life at Elyria High comprise a wonder- land through which the student wanders during his four years, we, the Staff have been reminded of :l'Zice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass which the pen of Charles Ludwidge Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll, pictured. It is our hope that as the reader wanders through these pages, he will realize the extent of the dreams that have come to actuality here. Some one has said that no achievement exists without first having existed in some mind as a dream, a possibility. VVhen one thinks of the buildings, the courses, the equipment, the textbooks, the library, the laboratories, the gymnasium, the plays, the cafeteria, the music, the clubs, the publications, the athletics, the assemblies, even the detention room, one realizes that the dreaming, the planning involved represents activity in countless minds. The seniors and the teachers will find quotations from Lewis Carroll's book of satirical nonsense near their names. Since necessarily his time is limited so far as the high school is concerned, stu- dents and teachers do not see as much of him as they would like to.
