ACT III THE JUNIOR YEAR NEW EXPERIENCES The actlon of the th1rd act started w1th the appolntment of Ron Bousek as Pres1dent of the dramatlc class H1s understudles were Rlta Lepkowskl Leon St Mar1e and Grace Knoble fV1ce Presldent Treasurer and Secretary respectlvelyl Elected to the two Student Councll offlces open to th1s Junlor class were Tom Brosky the Treasurer and Laura Rzetelny the Secretary The leadlng cast was completed Wlth the appolnt ment of NlCk Auhslo Roger Ganobclk Janxce Krutch and Marllyn Stahl as representatlves of the class Thxs year s troupe was under the leadershlp of Slster Mary Glovanne and Slster Mary Helene Represent1ng the new upperclassmen to Boys State and Glrls State were Ron Bousek and Rlta Lepkowskl The delegates to Operation Youth were VIC Bronlsh and Roger Ganobclk At mld term the J un1ors took over the school paper The Challenge w1th Grace Knoble and Rlta Lepkowskn as co ed1tors and other cast members f11l1ng the varxous pos1t1ons The long awalted Rlng Ceremony and the Rlng Dance followed by the Junlor Senlor Prom Cln An Orlental Moodl were the hlgh polnts of th1s act Of course those who went w1ll always remember the Washmgton trrp and especlally the endless SQTIQS of steps ln the Washlngton Monument All proved to be real troupers E C recexved a new trophy when the Vars1ty Cheerleaders won second place 1n the Class AA Cheerleaders Contest The Panthers were not to be out done for they grabbed a clear cut North Central Conference Champlon due to the 1nsp1r1ng prayer often reclted before the game Our Lady of Lourdes g1V6 us grace Our Lady of Grace glve us Lourdes Th1s was a memorable year wh1ch w1ll not be forgotten As ln all good dramas the cllmax IS approached 1n the thlrd act ACT IV THE SENIOR YEAR THE CLIMAX Co starrlng 1n the fourth and flnal act were Ron Bousek and Laura Rzetelny w1th Tom Brosky and Barbara Gutman as the supportlng cast N1ck AUIISIO and Rlta LBDk0WSkl took on the task of regulatlng the affalrs of the Student Councll as Presldent and Vlce Presldent Thus year the class had two representatlves 1n the Student Councll Don Wlmsatt and Marllyn Stahl Durlng th1s act two new coaches Gordon and Columbaro were added to the athletlc department Coach Paul boosted the boys on to a successful football season The seven DISCS band of Chuck Heck played for the captlvatmg Chr1stmas formal Snowflakes and Stardust Father McShane conducted the annual retreat the last of the 59 ers tourmg careers The May Crown mg held flttlng slgnlflcance for the sp1r1tuaI sequence of the final weeks before graduatlon Slster Mary Ida and Slster Mary Sean were the producers dxrectors technlclans leaders and supervlsors of th1s flnal act The cllmax of the1r drama was Commencement at wh1ch tlme the cast Wh1Ch numbered 118 recelved thelr dlplomas the Oscars they w1ll treasure all thelr 1lV9S Thus, the curtam closed on the Tenth Year ln the hlstory of Elyrla D1str1ct Catholxc Hlgh School ship when they downed Cleveland Our Lady of Lourdes 69-40.
