Each was assigned to one of two political parties and campaigned for an office. Mary Jane ran for county judge, and John was elected the county treasurer. ODALITY The Sodality is an organization armed at fos tering in nts members an ardent devotion re verence, and fllial love toward the Blessed Virgin Mary Its purpose is to make the faithful gathered together under the name of Mary, good Catholics Among the projects sponsored by the Sodality are the leading of the Statxons of the Cross dur ing Lent, the rec1tat1on of the rosary in October the erection of a shrlne to Our Lady, performing works of mercy whenever possible, and carrymg on the works of the Lay Apostolate Pomting out the h1gh room in the M1ss1onDr1ve are Steve Gurchlck YOUTH Operatlon Youth, sponsored by the Kmghts of Columbus, provldes for a week of l1v1ng and working and playing w1th men from dxfferent parts of the Mxdwest. During th1s week the boys have an opportumty to learn more about the mu tual rxghts and responsibllltxes in our American democracy. Each year two junior boys are chosen to re present our school. The 1957 candmdates, Jack Ross and Francis Mitro, spent the second week ln June at Xavier University ln Cmcinnati be commg more familiar with our democracy. Jack and Francis both agree that 'Operation Youth' affords an excellent opportunity for young men to express their v1ews on our government and share the vlews of others the1r age.
