10 Iris Nilson (right) came from Germany. She was a member of Drama Club, Latin Club, Science Club, and Swing Choir. In her opinion, school is more fun here in America than in Germany. This year she was staying with Sheila and George Hobson and had one sister, Renee. Lone Jensen (Above) from Denmark said she likes E.H.S. better than her school back home. “The classes are easier!” she said. She likes gymnastics very much and was a member of the Drama Club. Lone says, “The students here are nice and helpful.” Lone stayed this year with Sandy and Phil Burton and had sister Shelly and brother Shawn. Sole Jyvakorpi (Right) came from Finland. She was a member of Band, FBLA, Science Club, Spanish Club, Art Club, and Drama Club. At school she has especially enjoyed trips, school spirit, band, and getting lots of new friends. This year she was staying with Ruth and Jim Peel and had three sisters: Cindy, Shelly, and Kim.

Bjorg Evjenth (Left) is from Norway. She was a member of FBLA and Science Club. She played volleyball and basketball for the Panthers this year and did a good job. In E.C.H.S. she especially likes people and says that they are very friendly. Bjorg says that making friends is very important to her. She was staying with Vera and Jerry Gillum and had sister Mitzi and brother Brad. Lourdes Frias (Left) is from Panama. She was a member of Spanish Club, Choir, and Swing Choir. She likes sports, even though she didn't participate in any this year. She has many friends and tells that friends are really important for her. At school she likes sports and all the people around.
