Events of 1959 Included: Plays, Dances, and Concerts Before Clcassfime at Willkie High: School days are filled with so many seemingly meaningless happenings which add to school life and give each day a true depth. Big events, such as the prom and homecoming, will always be remembered through pictures and souvenirs, but the in- significant incidents are more readily for- gotten. Some things we do remember. We re- call pizza parties, cutting up in class, and occasionally talking seriously with other teen-agers or adults about the problems ofgrowing up. We remember piling in an over-loaded jalopy for a blessed ride home and, ofcourse, we remember studying. Report cards had a way of sneaking up at the least expected times. One of our auditorium program speakers, Mike Sumner,pi-epares to show a film on his trip around the world in 1956.
