Sunshine Societies are established in many communities throughout the nation. All g'irls.of high school age' are eligible for membership, The Elwood Society was organized in 1943, The Society hashhigh ideals and its goal rs to help needy, bring cheer and comfort to shut-ins. At Christmas time, the girls buy gifts for needy children. Each year, they sponsor a project to make money to contribute to the Riley Hospital at Indianapolis.
