Ur. initglil it he the spirit with which the upper classmen annoy the liresh- men? .Xllhough these things, to- gether with others, help niake it up, they alone are not the spirit ol' our high school. ll we look hack through the early pages ol' the history ol' this school. we find that classes in a very few suhiects, taught hy a very siuall liaculty in a tlimiuutixe huiltling representetl the suiu total of the activities ot' the time. There was no frenzied shouting at foot- hall ganiesg there was no jlfgtl- f7IlOIIl',' there were no social or- ganizations with their various pur- suits. Yet, at that very time when all seemed so quiet, the spirit of XVenclell l.. Wlillkie lligh was very much alive.
