The FHA officers led their organization . . . ,, 1MP, W4 t mmmmmW . . .in many interest- ing and worthwhile ac- tivities. The girls, as were the students in other organizations, were faced with the problem of a successful merger of two chapters. Transition was surpris- ingly smooth and the Christmas and Sweet- heart Dances were the FHA social highlights of the year. The Elverado Chapter had two section officers --Pam Gleaton as vice- president and Joyce Farley as secretary. Karl Ed Maple, who assumed the leadership of the school newspaper after a year as assistant editor, proved to be a capable organizer. The paper attempted to change its format to the point where each student would be interested. . . . . .Behind every good leader are good followers.
