As each year does, 1962 ran its course. The crispness of autumn gave away to the chill of winter - with that change came the change from football to basketball. The Elverado Falcons had an interesting sea- son with several heartbreaking moments. On the next two pages you will probably see a scene you re- member . . . including players, the coach, and fans. A Year in Sports . . . Football season brought a large following of fans and an admirable record. The first year under Head Coach Roger Buyan could be termed quite successful. In this picture, some of our fans seem to be more interested in our photographer than they are in the game. the coach . . . W, at work . . . concerned relaxed . . . happy the fans helped too . . . In the Zeigler-Royalton contest. the coach and the team worked hard. Not only did they work hard on the floor that night, they worked for weeks in advance. The fans were aware of this preparation and showed the enthusiasm due a great team. The gym echoed with the happy shouts of Falcon victory.
