Thespians Present Musical Extravaganza With Summer Encore ,r l '- .-4 a . 'J In S 41' D U xii M34 Presenting the musical comedy l-lello, Dolly was more like a comedy of errors for those involved. But it wasn't all that funny. Dolly, Laura Martin, performed painfully after her motorcycle accident a few weeks before the show. Dennis Saffer, playing Cornelius Hackl, was discovered to have walking pneumonia, and had to be replaced for the opening night by Carl Wipperman. The next night Dennis was back, gulping aspirin between scenes, while lrene Molloy, played by Karen Sterchi, was on stage with a 1020 fever. Despite the difficulties, good direction, determination, and perseverance, as well as talent, combined to carry the show off. The show was so successful, the cast and crew brought Dolly back for two additional performances in June. Events 13
