juniors worked intensely to invent showboat the 1973 prom left countless ' memories with 300juniors k and seniors; the theme was 'tshowboat and the basketball gym was aptly decorated to turn it into an incredulous dreamworld. the juniors and their sponsors, miss tellugen, and mr. mohamed, used their skills to produce an impressive and unforgetable prom. instead of havingthe traditional slow dance band. something new was added. a rock band called ttpure funk was hired by the juniors for a change in atmosphere. everyone enjoyed the change. but as the clock tolled midnight, prom-goers left for the postprom at the canterbury where a more relaxed atmosphere was welcome. t'city limits and llstonewater edge played at postprom. when all was said and done. the only recognition the juniors needed. or wanted, was to know that their efforts were appreciated and enjoyed by all.
