P.E.-9haping Up for the Future Learning the skills of basketball ... walking on the balance beam H. run- ning around the track and keep- ing in top physical condition, these are some of the tasks practiced by stu- dents in physical education. Girls, while in gym class, learn acro- batics, vaulting, mounting, and crea- tive dancing. Also, later in the spring, they have class outside to play base- ball. P,E. for boys consists of many exer- cises to keep them in shape. They also practice vaulting and mounting. Then, during the middle of the year they play basketball and other sports.

Qiudenis Learn Good Health and Driving Habits Memorizing the names of the bones . studying the aspects of heahh ... and trying to avoid hitting the on- coming car, these are what students in Health, Safety, and Drivers Educa- tion are busy learning during the year. Health and Safety is a required course. It consists of a semester of each course. Health students learn the systems of the body and their func- tions. While in Safety class the neces- sary rules of the road are taught. In the iunior or senior year, stu- dents may sign with Mr. Michaels to be placed in a Driver's Training car.
