Cadet Teachers - Elemen+arg Prac+ice Keeping the Class under control makmg and grading tests being patient With the slower students and the satisfying experience of teach ing, these are a few of the challenges encountered by the exploratory teach- ers from Elston. Any student who wishes to con- tinue their education in one field of teaching may become a cadet teacher. They spend two hours of each school day exploring the minds of individ- uats from 7-13 years of age. Girls, while in gym class, learn acro- batics, vaulting, mounting, and crea- tive dancing. Also, later in the spring, they have class outside to play base- ball. P,E. for boys consists of many exer- cises to keep them in shape. They also practice vaulting and mounting. Then, during the middle of the year they play basketball and other sports.
