A variety of methods were employed in the competition be- tween the classes and individual home- rooms. All three classes held their traditional Slave Sales. These llslaves then catered to their llmastcr's every whinL during one school day. such as carrying books and opening lockers. Homerooms and bake sales. car washes. collections for gum chewmg. talk- ing. and eating. Some homerooms chal- lenged others to basketball games where the loser would pay the penalty. When Elston Squeeze Week ended. Jim Kinola, president of student council, pre- sented Mr. Jones with a check for $5223.67 to be given to the local chur- ities. Slave dealer, Mike Whitlow. keeps track of all the bidding on Karen Sturdy.
