l l I New Techniques Join Elston's Traditions The new and the old blend at Elston, tra- dition and innovation, for a school must use tradition as the groundwork upon which new ideas are built, The walks of Elston are cracked, desktops are patchworks of carvings and pencil inscriptions-but a TV set rolls through the halls. Each year brings new teaching techniques 2 and materials to Elston. Besides movie and slide projectors, the 1963 AVA operator rolled six TV sets to forty classrooms. School televi- sion installations were initiated in Indiana two years ago. Classes in American Government, World History, American Literature, and American History tune in MPATI Midwest Program on Airborne Television Instruction.
