Mr. Jones leaves for Barker Mr. WCQIICI' advises Bob Gleason, Sandy Shires, and Ron Glanz on their student activities. ' 26 Mr. Warren CAre we weak, or are we strong?D jones became assistant principal of Elston Senior High in 1955. Guiding student activities, disciplining the waywards, leading pep sessions,-these were some of his tasks. Though it's best not to, many find themselves saying, Mr. jones said . . or Mr. jones used to . . Students and faculty miss him-his good humor, loyalty, diligence-and wish him all success and happiness as principal of Barker junior High. Mr. Harold Wegner, former teacher of English, safety, health, physical education, and driver's education, former varsity basketball coach, and present tennis coach and class sponsor, is now assistant principal of Elston Senior High. Today his work includes attendance, tardiness, and requisi- tions. Welcome, Mr. Wegner, our new administrator.

The lead of the king was played by Scott Kunkelg Anna, Deryle Durandg Lady Thiang, Linda Schendelg Tuptim, Lynn Grahamg Lun Tha, Rick jonesg Prince Chelalongkorn, Fred Stockwell. Their efforts were rewarded when, by popular de- mand, a command performance was held on Monday, February 25th. The members of stage crew, costumes, make-up, properties, publicity, lighting committees 7 and the twenty-three piece student orchestra contrib- uted to the success of the show, a highlight of '63.

Concentrating, Judy and Grissell prepare their lessons for the next day. fi,-M ,M-fi, 1 A ,, V 4 f .n I . , V . , Enjoying her favorite pastime, Grissell watches television with Kathy and Judy. Exchange student joins Elston community The class of '63 acquired a new student, Carmen Grissell Perez Cordoba, known as Grissell to Elston students. Grissell, whose home is in Caracus, Venezuela, arrived in Michigan City August 26th as a foreign exchange student. During her stay in Michigan City, Grissell lived with Mr. and Mrs. Al Pontius and their childreng Judy, Lynda, Gil, and Kathy. Grissell shared in the fun and responsibilities of the family by helping with housework and baby-sitting, watching T.V., and enjoying hamburgers Cher favorite American foodj. Grissell's school in Caracus differed from Elston in many respects. There, students remained in the same room all dayg moving from room to room at first thoroughly confused Gris- sell. She has undertaken government, U. S. History, advanced social, public speaking, and English seven and eight in her study. Between June 10 and 25 Grissell will tour major United States cities with other exchange students. After this Grissell will return home to her family and her friends. Do not pass GO. Do not collect SZOOV' exclaims Grissell to Gil, Kathy, and Judy.
