HISTORY Most of us in the Class of '54 entered good ole EUHS as freshmen. One could see us coming to high school in groups and standing around in bunches trying to look very sophisticated, but just doing a good job of looking scared. Getting the year off to a good start was our initiation-the girls dressed up as nursery rhymes, and they wore their clothes inside out and backwards. Our boys, at their freshman initiation, were the last of the classes to paint the given in Elsinore, the theme- Song of Scherazadef' We ended this year by ordering Elsinore NE. Of course we couldn't forget the Welcome Freshman dance given to us by the sophomores. All in all our first year was pretty good. Starting off our second year in EUHS, we gave the Welcome Freshman Dance which turned out very well if we do say so ourselves. Also, we sold programs at the football games to build up our treasury. Nobody could call us weaklings as we tied for first place in the inter-class track meet. One of the last and main things we did was to order our junior class rings so we would have them as soon as possible in our junior year. Guess what??? We're upperclassmen and to prove it we're wearing our junior class rings!! To make money this year we took over the food concessions at the football and basketball games and gave our junior class play, 'gBackwoods Romeo. Nobody could call us weaklings again this year, as we won the inter-class track meet. We all worked hard all year long and as proof, gave one of the nicest proms ever our lipstick red seniorsweaters. At last-we made it-we're seniors!! To start off the year right, we initiated the little green freshmen. To top that off we got our senior sweaters which really made us feel like the ualmightiesf' For the senior class play we gave 6'Mumbo Jumbo, a mystery farce, and we had loads of fun putting it on. To have our senior pictures taken, we went over to Hemet, although it rained all day and the bus stalled coming home, we still had a lovely time. Ditch day we went up to Snow Valley. We had loads of fun skiing, tobogganing, skating, and just fooling around. Again we tied for first place in the track meet, all in all, we did pretty fair in track. We doubt if any of us will forget our four years at EUHSg especially, when we walk down the aisle at Baccalaureate and Gradua- tion Services in our Navy Blue robes. ..............,....,,,,,,,,,,,,, President WARNER STEWERT ........,.,.
